Man Men's costume designer: Clothes and character

An interview with Mad Men's costume designer, Janie Bryant, who talks about "the shell": how clothes create the character. Janie Bryant says Betty was inspired by her Southern grandmother, "the image of perfection", while she channeled Sophia Loren for Joanie.

She's rumoured to be launching her own line. After overseeing the creation and rental of
200 costumes a week, maybe this would be a vacation.
